Naviscent respects your privacy online

Naviscent participates in the TRUSTe Web Privacy Seal Program. TRUSTe is an independent, non-profit organization whose mission is to build users’ trust and confidence in the Internet by promoting the use of fair information practices. Because privacy is an important value for Naviscent, our information and privacy policies have been reviewed by TRUSTe for compliance to their standards. By displaying the TRUSTe Web Privacy Seal, Naviscent has agreed to notify you of what personally identifiable information of yours or third party personally identifiable information is collected from you through our Web site; the organization collecting the information; how the information is used; with whom the information may be shared; what choices are available to you regarding collection, use and distribution of the information; the kind of security procedures that are in place to protect the loss, misuse or alteration of information under Naviscent’s control; and how you can correct any inaccuracies in the information.

Personal Information

You can view the Naviscent Web site without entering personal information. We collect personal information on our Web site from clients and potential partners. Should you choose to provide us with personally identifiable information, Naviscent will use that information only to support your client relationship with us. If we change the way we use your personally identifiable information we will notify you by email and wait for your consent.

Once you have signed in, you can edit your account to change your personal information.

Information Collection and Use

We collect your email and password to provide you with access to your profile areas and to protected content within our web site. We also collect other account information (i.e., DOB, phone, zip/postal code, country) to help us identify you in case you forget your password. Our contact request forms are used to contact clients when necessary. We also collect your personally identifiable information such as contact and additional information about your company primarily for the purposes of contacting customers and potential partners as well as to improve our marketing and promotional efforts.

Our online surveys ask customers for contact information (i.e., name and email address) and demographic information (i.e., zip code, country, age, or income level). We use contact data to send customers information about our company and promotional material from some of our partners. The contact information is also used to contact the customers when necessary (i.e., support requests). The demographic information is shared with third parties on an aggregate basis. That information is not decrypted until it reaches your browser.

Naviscent follows generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. No method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure, however. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Naviscent is not responsible for customer errors or negligent use of our Web site, including but not limited to: input errors, negligent handling or sharing of passwords, or unattended computers that are logged in.

Children’s Guidelines

Children under 14 are not eligible to use our services and we ask that minors (under the age of 14) not submit any personal information to us. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 14. If you are a minor, you can only view our public Web site. If we learn that we have personal information on a child under the age of 14, we will delete that information from our systems.
